2021 Family Portraits for Nashville Photographer Dolly DeLong Photography
Today’s blog is super special because I’m sharing MY Family photo session! We worked with one of my dear friends, Grace Paul (Grace Paul Photography), to capture this year’s portraits. I’m so in love with them all! As a small business owner, I get so wrapped up in my work, my clients, and my own business that sometimes I forget WHY I started my own business. These portraits bring that back into focus (no pun intended). Blaise and Ty are my whole world and I’m so happy I have these portraits to document this sweet season of our lives together.
As a family photographer, it should come as no shock that I love, love, love family portraits. But I also know the reality of how these sessions go. My son is a toddler, so let’s be real: we were threatening to take away Halloween candy the entire session. But, Grace went above and beyond to capture our family. No matter how crazy this (or any other) session feels, I’ll always remember these sweet moments because of her. I can’t thank Grace enough for creating such beautiful portraits for our little family on her own in-laws’ farm.
At the end of the day, I know that years from now, I will look back on these portraits and smile. I will remember how grateful I am that God blessed me with these two men. I am not promised tomorrow and I want to be reminded of what matters the most. Thank you, Grace, for giving me that gift.

2021 was such an amazing year of growth, learning & refinement for my business, but the heartbeat of my business is my family. They are the WHY of WHY I show up day after day, week after week, so I pray that God continues to help shape our family to honor HIM and HIS kingdom! I also pray that I can continue to set a godly and kind example to everyone I interact with!
