Welcome to the world, baby Caleb! This lifestyle newborn session is one of those sessions that I’m honored to have been asked to capture. I’m still honestly beaming with thankfulness for being asked to document Caleb’s first days at home! It was special to me because I’ve known Ally since I worked at the University. I worked there for almost 8 years before going full-time in the business, so over that time, I had the joy of getting to know so many incredible young women and men and to see them “grow” up. One of those delightful people was Ally. She met her husband, Jeremy, after graduation. It turned out they had gone to the same school for years but had never met until after they were done! I just love stories like that!
Ally and Jeremy are a nurse and a math teacher, respectively, so I know that Caleb is going to be a lucky and smart kid growing up! I had a great time catching up with these two while we captured their new little guy at home. During their session, we focused on a few locations for their photos. One of them was Caleb’s absolutely adorable forest-inspired nursery. What a cute theme! I just loved it and all of the little details they so carefully planned for their little guy.
One of my favorite moments was when Ally asked for a giant lion to be included in the portraits with Caleb in the master bedroom. It turns out the lion had been something Ally had growing up, a gift from her father. So it was a really special and full-circle moment for this family. That’s why I LOVE doing these sessions. These portraits are your legacy, and they’ll capture the moments that matter most to you and your family.
Enjoy a peek into this session for Ally, Jeremy, and Caleb!
