There’s nothing like the joy of welcoming a new baby to the world. And when your little one arrives around the holiday season, I feel like the joy is tripled. I worked with the Peel Family this fall when they were expecting Baby Ada. It was so much fun to see them and capture their joy as they awaited their little girl’s arrival! But after she arrived? Capturing this sweet Nashville newborn session at home in Ada’s nursery was the highlight of my winter.
When they contacted me in December to say that Baby Ada had made her debut, I was so excited to meet her. I also couldn’t wait to see Mariah again – now as the mother of a new baby!! Since I had JUST taken their maternity portraits, it was amazing to get to see Ada so soon. When I arrived, I started in her sweet nursery. This sweet girl’s parents put a lot of love and time into this space. With tons of books to read (many I recognized from my own son’s room) and the sweetest pink details, I was just in heaven! When Ada was ready, they brought her in and we captured some portraits of the new family together.
I love lifestyle newborn sessions, and the Peels’ family was just so special. Watching these two parents is amazing. They are meant for this role! If you’re expecting this year, let’s talk about a lifestyle newborn session. I truly don’t think there’s anything as meaningful as capturing newborn photos in the place you call home!
