Welcome to the world, Baby Cooper! I recently had the joy of photographing the Sutton family as they welcomed their new baby boy home. His arrival made their family of three a family of four. Chad and Caroline are just two of the most joyful people I’ve ever met. Even the late nights that come with a new baby didn’t damper their smiles. They, along with their daughter Claire and new son Cooper welcomed me to their home for their Nashville newborn portraits. Let me just say… I’m absolutely obsessed with these four and their beautiful home! 

Nashville Tennessee Newborn Session

When I arrived at the Sutton’s home, I think my jaw hit the floor. They live in a beautiful, historic home in Nashville. It was seriously a dream come true to photograph them here! The light was perfect and they’ve made it such a welcoming space to live. Their upstairs attic space has been converted into the master bedroom and the nursery for Cooper, so that was where most of our session took place. Caroline picked a gorgeous and simple color scheme for their portraits – light baby blues to compliment the white space and his white crib. It was seriously a stunning combination. 

One of my favorite parts of their newborn session was the chance to document Claire interacting with her new baby brother. Becoming a big sister is a big deal and I hope that she looks back on these photos fondly one day! I also loved that their dog got in on our session, curling up with his family and showing off his new baby, too. It was so, so sweet! There’s nothing like our furbabies in photos! 

Congratulations, Sutton family! I’m so happy for you and I know that Cooper is SO loved. I hope that these portraits are photos that you will treasure for years to come – and I am looking forward to seeing you again real soon!
