The Hartline Family just welcomed Baby Number Four, and it was an absolute joy to capture this sweet season of their lives with an in-home lifestyle newborn session in Nashville. Now a beautiful family of six, they opened their doors to share not only their love but also their thoughtfully decorated nursery for Baby Deacon.
Keep scrolling to see highlights from their cozy session and get inspired by their colorful, modern nursery setup!
Was Baby Deacon born on schedule?
-He was actually induced just a couple of days overdue at 40 weeks and 3 days.
Hereâs how his mama shares their birth story:
âMy last two inductions were super quick, so I expected the same this timeâbut my body had other plans! After my water was broken, nothing happened. We walked literal miles in the hallways to get things going. Eventually, we started Pitocin… and still nothing for a while! But finally, by 8:30 pm contractions kicked in, and two hours later, Deacon was born at 10:39 pm. After arriving at the hospital at 7 am, we were so ready to meet him by the end of the day. Iâve never been so happy to be in pain, ha!â
âI was so relieved. After the longest day and the hardest labor of my four deliveries, I was beyond ready to meet him. I had a strong feeling it was a boyâbut also kept thinking it had to be a girl because who gets what they want?! Seeing that it was a boy made me feel overwhelmingly thankful and just completely in awe.â
âAll of our other children have names starting with A, B, and Câso we knew this baby would need a âDâ name! My husband suggested Deacon early on. At first, I worried it was too popular, but it turns out it’s not very common at all.
The name Deacon holds special meaning for us. It traditionally refers to a servant within the church, which really resonated because both of our fathers served as deacons in the churches we grew up in. We wanted to honor them, and this name felt like the perfect way.
His middle name, Atlas, symbolizes strengthâtying into his big brotherâs middle name, Archer. Our prayer is that Deacon grows into a godly servant of great strength in a world that deeply needs both.â
âHe definitely favors his daddyâjust like his big sister and brother did! But now that heâs home, I see a little more of my side of the family in his features, maybe his eyes or forehead?â
âThe transition from three to four kids has been surprisingly smooth. Not having our normal school/work schedule helped a ton, and even though thereâs a bit more screen time for the big kids and a little less sleep for me, life feels peaceful. Thereâs so much sweetness in this season.â
âSince the beginning, Iâve prayed for peace over this baby. I found out I was pregnant just before Covid shut everything down, and it was such an overwhelming time. But Deacon brought me so much joy during that season. I pray he continues to be filled with peace and joy, that heâs strong, servant-hearted, kind, and confident in who God made him to be.â
âLogan, hands down! I somehow end up using like 700 wipes with the boys. đâ
Their nursery is a cheerful and stylish mix of modern design with bright pops of colorâtruly a joyful space! From hand-picked details to cozy textures, this room is a beautiful reflection of the Hartline familyâs creativity and love. If youâre planning your own nursery, youâll find plenty of inspiration below in the photos!
âEverything! Getting my hair and makeup done was such a treatâand such a relief not to worry about that with a newborn. I loved that we got full-family photos, close-ups of just Deacon, some sweet mama-and-baby shots, and photos of the nursery too.
Honestly, I felt like a mess during the sessionâstill swollen, tired, the baby wasnât always cooperatingâbut Dolly made us look so effortless and at peace. I was blown away when I saw the photos. Thank you for helping us remember this season with such beauty.â
If youâre welcoming a baby soon and looking for a Nashville newborn photographer who will document your family in a relaxed, real-life wayâwhether at home or in a studioâIâd love to help you create memories that feel as meaningful as they look.
