For my family sessions, I really try to enter every session with a stance of gratitude and gentleness because every family’s home is unique and sacred. Working with the Wallace family was a great reminder of my mission behind my business (to help capture radiant and joyful portraits to best illustrate every family’s unique story), and I was honored that I got to freeze these moments for both Valerie and Tom because they have been patiently waiting for Everly (their newborn daughter) for quite some time now. Looking through these portraits now, I am still experiencing joy and warmth because of how happy they were to get to finally celebrate their baby girl!
If you have someone in your life who has been waiting patiently for a child, please do not forget to continue encouraging them and letting them know how loved they are, because it takes a lot of unseen courage to wade through the waters of waiting.
