Scarritt Bennett Center Maternity Session | Nashville Maternity Photographer Dolly DeLong Photography

 I had the honor of working with Jessica to photograph her incredible Scarritt Bennett Center maternity session here in Nashville. Jessica is expecting her third child and had never done maternity photos before, but was excited to have the whole experience! So that’s what we did: she was able to have her hair and makeup done by Kati Edge Hair and Makeup and we helped her style her session to perfection. And let me just say: it was a dream come true for all of us!

Jessica and her husband brought their two babies to the session too, so I got to meet Everly and Milo. Everly is starting kindergarten and she’s so curious about the world. It was great to watch her during our session as she explored this gorgeous spot near Vanderbilt University. Milo is also a ton of fun! He’s got a super silly side and is finding his own way to communicate with everyone. I loved watching them together – and they got so excited to tell me all about their new baby brother or sister on the way. 

While I loved watching the kiddos play and be with their parents, I was excited to capture the relationship between Jessica and her husband. Watching their joy and happiness as they talked about their new bundle of joy on the way was incredible. Jessica was glowing the entire time. She told me later that she felt so confident knowing her hair and makeup were done and their outfits were perfect!). That’s definitely why I do what I do. Not only do I want to capture portraits you’re going to treasure, but I want you to feel relaxed and at ease during our session. Every family that works with me is given the chance to pick perfect outfits, thanks to my style guide! And I can always help you find an MUA for your extra boost of confidence.
