I had such a good time with Jack and his parents, Kelly and Mark. We captured their West Nashville family portraits together this year, and we had the best time! I love photographing families with young kids because these days just go by so fast. These portraits will (hopefully!) always remind Kelly and Mark how it felt to have their little guy snuggling in their arms, giggling in the air, and just being so tiny and cute. Have I mentioned I seriously love this age?!

Jack is 11 months old and just has the cutest giggle in the world. He made all of us laugh right along with him throughout the whole session. He was honestly the perfect age for our portraits. Jack loved being able to hug his mom and dad – and they enjoyed the chance to slow down and be with him. I also loved how magical their backyard was; it made for the perfect backdrop and setting for these intimate family photos.

And now, fun storytime…. Jack’s parents are librarians, which I didn’t know until after the session. But I brought Jack a book during our session, so it was a perfect little nod to Kelly and Mark. Fun fact, Jack actually arrived on his due date when Kelly was pregnant – and she told me after their session that they joked about how much they appreciated him showing up on time. How cute are these three, seriously?!
