A Daniel Tiger Themed 1st Birthday Party

A Beautiful Day in Blaise’s Neighborhood for his Daniel Tiger 1st birthday party in Nashville, Tennessee

For those of you who have been following my parenting adventures, you should know that being a new mom has been one of the biggest blessings in my life (like literally my heart has grown exponentially since having Blaise). Through the highs and lows of learning to parent, it has been a HUGE year for my husband and me, and we know we hit the jackpot with Blaise. Also getting to celebrate our son’s first birthday was a milestone for us as new parents (you all, we kept a human alive for ONE year…that’s a big deal-haha!)

So the inspiration for this party’s theme came when Blaise was 3 months old! Long story short: one of our wins, as parents, was discovering the magic of Mr. Roger’s Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood, and the intro song from this show is played at least 2,000,000 times a day in our house, but it makes Blaise so happy, so we, as parents, are happy. So when we were planning out Blaise’s first birthday party, we knew we should have a Daniel Tiger party for him because it brings him so much joy, and pretty much our house is covered in yellow, orange, and red in honor of this beloved Tiger friend.

Since I am a photographer, I HAD to take detail shots of the party because why not? Also, I really wanted to share a list of helpful resources I used, and I wanted to share it with anyone looking to plan either a birthday party for a son/daughter/loved one or seeking some Daniel Tiger Inspiration for a specific occasion. I had a blast planning my sweet Blaise’s 1st birthday, and I wanted to create a helpful blog post to point any moms (or dads) in the right direction for a budget-friendly and “Grrrrrrr-rific” Daniel Tiger-themed party. Also, Ty and I really try to stick to a reasonable budget, mostly because we are Dave Ramsey people!
