1) How long are you there on the wedding day?
My packages begin at 7 hours, but if I am needed for additional time, it is $200 per hour. The final timeline will be determined at least two weeks prior to the event.
2) You haven't done a wedding at my venue. Is that okay?
Totally! I frequently work at new venues, and I have all of the necessary insurance. I am always up for a new location!
3) Do you photograph anything besides weddings?
Yes. Besides weddings, I also photograph engagements, couples, bridal sessions, families, maternity and at-home newborn lifestyle sessions. I actually specialize in luxury family photography. You should check out packages for family sessions here
4) Do you have liability insurance?
5) Do you meet wedding clients beforehand?
Yes. My goal is to get to know you, the client, so that you feel comfortable and at ease around me. We will cover a lot of the FAQs at your consultation (either in person or digitally).
6) Wedding timelines - are they important?
YES! I will be sure to go over your wedding timeline with you and discuss expectations of the timeline a minimum of two times before your actual wedding day. This is important because this is YOUR wedding, and I want to capture all of the photos you want. Please note: I am not the wedding planner, so I ask that all my clients connect me with their day-of planner or someone who is helping out with the timeline.
7) Should we have an engagement session?
Totally up to you! Since it is an a la carte option in my packages, it’s your decision. If you want to have a traditional Save The Date, an engagement session is a great option! Plus, my engagement packages come with a hair and makeup artist!
8) Do you work with a second photographer?
Yes, because they help me capture ALL the moments of the wedding day, I always have someone with me. My second photographers are all talented professionals, and I trust them to cover all the angles and get even more great shots.
9) Do you edit all the photographs? Can we have them delivered in RAW format?
Yes, I edit all the photographs, but no I will not deliver them in RAW format to any clients. You are also hiring me for my editing style and trust that I will send you the best-curated images. Note: I am not able to re-edit images after sending the final gallery. If you have any Photoshop requests (e.g. a T-rex chasing your wedding party), they are $25 per photo. I work with a third-party vendor to handle any special edits.
10) How many images do you typically deliver?
Between 700-800 edited images (based off of a 7-hour wedding day)
11) Do you travel for weddings?
Yes! I am happy to travel for weddings or elopements, I only ask that you cover travel costs. If your wedding is in a different state, I would love to chat! Remember, I only shoot one wedding a month so please plan ahead!
12) What kind of equipment do you use?
On a typical wedding day, I have two full-frame cameras on me (sometimes three), and I have several lenses I use depending on the situation. I am also confident using supplementary flash in case there is not enough natural light at the ceremony. Any assistant photographers will also carry full-frame professional cameras.
13) When should we book you?
I only take one wedding a month, and I often book weddings a year in advance. In other words, the sooner the better.
14) Do you offer videography?
I do not, but I have list of recommended professionals for the Nashville area.
15) Do you require a down-payment?
Yes. I require a $500 non-refundable retainer fee for your wedding date. This helps me block off the date for your wedding. Your wedding date cannot be held until this fee is received and the contract is signed. The remaining balance will be due one week before your wedding.
