Dubsado is my favorite CRM tool – by far. It helps me manage my invoices, contracts, and all the nitty-gritty parts of my business that can sometimes be, well, not very fun.
I’ve heard Dubsado described as your personal VA because it takes so much off your plate through automation and I think there is no truer statement! (I mean, a VA who works for $35 a month nonstop? WHAAAAT? Yup, that’s what Dubsado does for me, it’s constantly working nonstop and in the best ways possible!)
One thing that Dubsado takes off my plate is email management, and that’s exactly what I’m talking about in this blog post. If you set up canned emails in Dubsado, you won’t have to keep up with follow-up emails or administrative communication with clients, and you will be able to focus on more important things in your business instead.
A canned email is essentially an email you use over and over again with each client at a certain stage in the onboarding or offboarding process. Canned emails can be sent throughout the process of working with a client and save you a tremendous amount of time and money because you don’t have to craft a unique email every time a new lead comes in.
The first step to setting up canned emails is to decide what canned emails you need to send. Think through the types of emails you send constantly to clients. Do you have a welcome email for new inquiries or a follow-up email for leads who have gone quiet? Make a list of your typical emails and go from there.
The canned emails section of Dubsado is where you can edit existing templates, create a new canned response, and even edit your email signature. Take some time to familiarize yourself with this section and see what the presets are. You might uncover an email that you’re not currently sending but need to send, or decide that you like a Dubsado template enough to use it!
Once you’ve familiarized yourself with the canned Dubsado emails, go through the existing copy and make it more “you”. What sort of things do you send in your emails to existing clients? How do you sign off emails? Do you have any phrases you constantly use? Try to weave these things into your canned emails so they don’t just sound like a template but sound like they’re coming from you.
Not having to send administrative emails to clients anymore sounds like a dream to me, and I bet it does for you too. When you set up canned emails, you’re not only saving yourself a tremendous amount of time, you’re also getting to learn how to navigate Dubsado, which I admit, can have a bit of a learning curve at first.
