I’ve been working with the Dacus family for several years now, so I was absolutely thrilled to take their sweet baby girl’s six-month milestone photos. Little Collins has changed so much since I shot her newborn session! This precious little girl has two older brothers and was a very welcome addition to her family. Megan, Collins’s mom, was thrilled to have the chance to dress up a daughter. She chose to have Collins wear her baptism outfit for these milestone photos and she couldn’t have looked any sweeter!

We chose to do this milestone photoshoot at Collins’s grandparents’ house in Belle Meade where their picturesque garden made an absolutely gorgeous backdrop for the pictures of Collins in her wicker chair. We scheduled the shoot for the golden hour on a lovely Nashville evening which provided soft, dreamy light. Older brothers Harper and Brooks are very taken with their little sister and jumped at the chance to dote on her in some shots.

When Megan and Ryan met while attending The University of Tennessee in Knoxville, they never imagined they would build such a beautiful family of five. Megan was originally told her oldest son would be a girl, so she’s been saving some of her favorite girl items for quite a while, just waiting for a daughter to arrive! Needless to say, this milestone photoshoot for their little girl was a very special occasion. Most of the props and items used for this shoot were sourced from HomeGoods, one of my highly recommended spots for finding photo session items.

I’ve been watching the sweet Dacus family grow for so long and it was truly an honor to celebrate another important baby milestone with them!
