How to Validate Your Pins for Pinterest | Pinterest Educator & Business Systems Tips by Dolly DeLong Education

Why is it essential to validate your pins on Pinterest if you have already validated and optimized your Pinterest profile? Read this blog post by Pinterest & Business Systems Educator Dolly DeLong to see an overview of what Rich Pins can mean for your small business!

How to validate pins to be rich pins for pinterest by Dolly DeLong Education

Well, long story short, if you want more of a reason to drive traffic to your brand, website, blog (business) you’ll need to dig into validating your pins to give you and your business more “credibility” with Pinterest.

Here is the exact definition from Pinterest:  “Rich Pins show metadata right on the Pin itself, giving Pinners a richer experience and increasing engagement. Information in a Rich Pin is independent of the Pin description, ensuring that important information is always tied to the Pin. There are 4 types of Rich Pins: app, article, product, and recipe Pins.”

So depending on what type of content you are planning on posting for your business, make sure you are validating your pins on Pinterest! (Okay Dolly, well, how can I do this?)

Here is a link you will use (click HERE) and then simply put the website (your blog) you are validating (the one that is going to be attached to the Pin in the destination link) and it will validate it for you!

Need more resources on what rich pins are, read this article: https://developers.pinterest.com/docs/rich-pins/overview/?
See, I told you I would keep this short and sweet! I want to make sure you can quickly implement this in your business within minutes so that you have more success using Pinterest for your small business! Finally, I made a small video to show you how to use the Rich Pins Validator Link!

A very important thing to note

You will need to add searchable keywords with descriptions in the Title and Description of your pin! Make sure you are doing this step-otherwise you are missing out on being found on Pinterest!
I wanted to keep this article super short & sweet so that you can begin Validating your Pins today! And if you remember anything it should be this: You only need to validate 1 URL to apply for Rich Pins on your entire domain. No need to submit all of your URLs!
Finally, if you are looking for a fun resource to learn the foundations of Pinterest, I have actually created a new mini-course called “The Pinterest Foundations Mini-Course” and it is all about the Foundations of Pinterest and how to use it strategically to start driving traffic to your business. I teach from my TASK framework, and it truly is a MINI course in that you can watch it in less than 2.5 hours and begin implementing everything right away! Talk about a win-win!
