Preface to being in Salt Lake City since I am a Nashville-based photographer: So, earlier this Fall (2018) my husband and I took a trip out west as a part of our babymoon since we are expecting our first in November. In addition to the babymoon, it was a great opportunity for me to continue to create more vendor contacts/relationships in Montana (since I do 1-2 weddings a year in Montana) but I wanted to also expand my portfolio in several other states out West. We traveled over 3,000 miles in 17 days (whoa. I know). I will share more about that trip in future blog posts! One of the highlights of this trip was getting to stop in Utah to catch up with two of my college friends (Mikey + Whitney) who happened to live near Salt Lake City (which was one of the stops en-route to Zion National Park). Anyway, I have not seen them since graduating from college (2007) so it was fun planning out an evening catching up with them AND I even talked them into doing a couple’s session since they have been married for 11 (yes eleven) years and they haven’t had photos done since their wedding (which to me is insane because I feel like I take pictures of EVERYTHING). So the setting was just outside of Salt Lake City in beautiful Emigration Canyon, and during the golden hour (duh!) I seriously think that these two look exactly the same (is there something in the Utah water?) and when Mikey tried to tell me I looked the same it took everything in me not to laugh hysterically because I’m 10,000 months pregnant at the moment! Anyway, here are some of my favorite photos from their session, and again I am extra thankful I got to take these photos of some dear college friends!
