The Millimaki family is finally up on the Dolly DeLong Photography Blog! Hooray! You all, I was so excited about working with this family of five. When Bonny and I were discussing this shoot, she told me that each of her children were going to bring “props” with them that represent the stage of life they are in now. From oldest to youngest, I met Evy (who brought books and a guitar), Nora Jewel (who brought an American Girl doll), and Elijah. He ended up climbing a tree, so I guess that was his prop. Also, he discovered the power of Sprite since we forgot to pack water. Haha! I was nervous because it is the middle of summer in Nashville, and it is hot. But her kids were troopers, and despite the blazing heat, we got some fantastic photos. I really love how each of the kids’ personalities were captured in this session. I also loved that the middle daughter, Nora, reminded me of Anne of Green Gables. She even requested her mom to braid her hair like Anne with an E! How precious is that? Bonny, thank you so much for allowing me to step into your family’s life for a couple of hours. I always love getting to know new clients, and I am so excited that your family used Dolly DeLong Photography. I’m looking forward to working with you in the future, and I’m especially excited to see your photos from Europe this fall when you are an adjunct professor in Vienna, Austria! (Can you bring me with you?) Have a wonderful rest of your summer. Soak in this beautiful season!
